Well, WE MADE IT!
We left Utah in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday (Feb 2) and drove all day until we got to Midland, TX where we were able to stay with Tyson, Jessica, Gentry, and Brecken. Oh how I love this family!!!! They are wonderful. We were only planning on spending one day there, but were glad we chose to spend an extra day. We always have the best time together. (How is this the only picture that I have of our time together?! Thank you Snapchat)
After that we drove from Midland, TX to Jackson, MS where we ended up staying in a super nice truck stop. Sound kind of like an oxymoron? Yeah it definitely does, but this place was great! There were super clean bathrooms, fully stocked vending machines, and a security guard, all surrounded by beautiful trees. So we slept in the back of our little red car that we towed and fortunately, slept pretty well.
We got up again the next morning and drove the rest of the way to Wilmington, NC. We arrived around 9pm and went straight to bed.
Since we’ve been here we have thought over and over again that this was the right decision for us. We absolutely love it here!
We still have not decided on a place to live, and I am still job hunting. But right now we are having the difficult decision of deciding if we should live downtown, or at the beach. Hmmm tough problems, right? 😉
We love both areas so it really is a hard decision! But we are hoping to decide this week, so I will keep you updated!
